Governor Reappoints 2 to State Board of Nursing

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon announced the reappointment Tuesday of two members of the State Board of Nursing.Lisa A. Green, of St. Louis, and Rhonda Shimmens, of Jefferson City, were reappointed for terms expiring June 1, 2016.The board is responsible for examining, licensing and disciplining nurses; regulating the quality of nursing education, and determining the scope of practice for licensed individuals.Green received her Master of Science degree in Nursing and is a Nursing Ph.D. candidate at the University of Missouri − St. Louis.Since 2007, Green has taught as an instructor at Barnes Je...
