Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm has appointed Workers' Compensation Board of Magistrates Murray Gorchow of Oakland County as chairman of the state's Workers' Compensation Appellate Commission, the governor's press office confirmed Tuesday.Gorchow's term will begin Oct. 1 and expire on Sept. 30, 2013. He replaces Granner Ries as chairman of the board.The governor reappointed Reis to a new term on the Workers' Compensation Appellate Commission. He succeeds Martha Gasparovich, who resigned.
