Max Haney Joins Risk Management Insurance

Max Haney has joined Risk Management Insurance as a commercial insurance consultant, the company has announced.

Haney’s insurance industry experience includes working as new business manager for CIGNA Healthcare in Denver and as commercial insurance representative for Bouchard Insurance in Fort Myers.

In 2005, Haney interrupted his studies at Florida State University when his father died. He became vice president of operations for the family business, Don Haney’s Smokehouse in Fort Myers, the Naples Daily News reported. He trained and supervised as many as 70 employees, and ran marketing events before selling the business in 2007.

Haney’s other positions have included general manager and marketing director of Luke’s Music & Sports Bar in Dallas; marketing and sales consultant for Beasley Broadcast Group in Estero; and general manager and marketing director for MacDaddy’s Sports Restaurant in Fort Myers.

He returned to FSU to earn a degree in social and political science.

Last year, Haney became the first person from Fort Myers to give a presentation for the TED Talks organization, according to the Daily News.

Risk Management Insurance has served southwest Florida since 1989, providing insurance products including property, general and professional liability, and workers’ compensation.
