OSHA Reaches Out to Public for Help on Tower Safety

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is trying to gather information from the public regarding safety hazards in communication tower construction in an effort to determine standards for safety measures, according to the administration.  Tower construction can be especially dangerous for maintenance workers, sometimes climbing upwards of 2,000 feet. Last year, a total of 12 workers were killed climbing communication towers, including one man working for Fortune Wireless in Cynthiana, Kentucky, who had his arm and head severed after the structure he was working ...
