The Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office announced the arrest of the owner of United Seal Coating, his wife and a longtime employee on 42 felony counts of insurance fraud.
Detectives from the California Department of Insurance on Jan. 14 arrested United Seal Coating owner Alberto Rodriguez, 57, his wife Maria Isabel Rodriguez, 58, and Byron Duran, 46.
Charges against the three include workers' compensation premium fraud and fraudulent denial of workers' compensation benefits, wage theft and violations of the Unemployment Insurance Code.
