GOP Caucus Opposes Proposed 38.8% Loss-Cost Increase

The Delaware House Republican Caucus is calling on Insurance Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart to reject a call to increase loss costs by 38% in the voluntary market and 43.5% in the residual market.Public radio station WDDE reported that 14 Republican members of the Delaware House called the increases "exorbitant" in a letter to Stewart and warned they would damage the state's economy.The Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau called for the increases to take effect on Dec. 1, but Stewart postponed the increases and scheduled a public hearing on Dec. 20."Can you imagine me telling you your r...
