Agency Reports Telephone Scam Targeting Elderly Residents

The Michigan Workers' Compensation Agency posted an alert that it has received reports about a scam involving an imaginary workers' compensation agency. "In each instance, an elderly person reported to us they received some communication advising them of a monetary amount they can receive from the 'Workers Compensation Appeals Board,'" the agency said.
