PBMs Say Formulary Is a Go, but Board Says No Decision Yet

Pharmacy benefit management firms met with the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board in December and were told a closed drug formulary has the green light for later this year, an Optum official confirmed Thursday. The board is saying little about the plan, however, and has dodged repeated Freedom of Information Law requests from WorkCompCentral on a variety of topics, including its proposed Pharmacy Benefit Plan.
