California's Supreme Court will not be reviewing a 5th District Court of Appeal determination that the family of a correctional officer who died while traveling home after working an overtime shift was not entitled to benefits.
The Supreme Court also elected not to hear a worker's challenge to his claim for benefits for neck and back injuries that he claimed to be a compensable consequence of a prior injury.
The cases were Lantz v. WCAB (Pleasant Valley Prison), No. S219536, and Csaki v. WCAB (Catalyst Industries), No. S219468.
