State CFO Supports Bill to Grant First Responders Access to PTSD Benefits

Florida state senators will soon review a bill to aid first responders who have post-traumatic stress disorder, and a high-ranking state official hopes they approve it, the blog Florida Politics reports.  Senate Bill 376, which would classify PTSD as a compensable occupational disease, gained the Senate Appropriations Committee's unanimous approval on Tuesday.  It now heads back to the Senate floor, where it is scheduled to have its second reading today.  Florida's chief financial officer Jimmy Patronis applauded the Appropriations Committee for approving the bill...
