Fresno Construction Worker Accused of Double Dipping

The California Department of Insurance said a construction worker from Fresno facing fraud and perjury charges for allegedly working while receiving workers’ compensation benefits turned himself in on Thursday. Jose Zepeda, 45, was injured in August 2017 while working for a local construction company. His employer couldn’t accommodate his work restrictions, and Zepeda started collecting workers’ compensation benefits.
