Gov. Bill Haslam has introduced a state plan to prevent and treat prescription drug abuse in Tennessee.Prescription for Success will attempt to address what is considered a pervasive issue in the state. Of more than 4.8 million adults in Tennessee, about 5%, or 221,000, have used prescription opioids for nonmedical purposes, according to a state release.
