NCCI Is Not Subject to the Sunshine Law, Regulators Argue in Court Brief

The National Council on Compensation Insurance is not a public agency and does not perform government functions and, therefore, is not subject to the state’s Sunshine Law, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation argues in a reply brief filed late Thursday. The brief was filed as part of its appeal in the 1st District Court of Appeal to a Nov. 23 circuit court ruling in favor of Miami claimants’ attorney James F.
