Medical Mileage Rate Increases for 2024

Injured workers who travel for related medical treatment will be reimbursed next year at a rate of 67 cents per mile, an increase from 65.5 cents per mile in 2023, according to an announcement by the California Workers’ Compensation Institute.

The new rate takes effect on Jan. 1, 2024, regardless of the date of injury.

California law requires reimbursement to injured workers for medical mileage at the rate adopted by the Department of Personnel Administration.
