The legislator who last year crafted one of the most-debated workers' compensation bills in recent Kentucky history now plans to offer another measure next year, one that would allow some out-of-state contractors to bypass the Kentucky comp system for up to three months.
State Rep. Adam Koenig, R-Erlanger, was the chief author of House Bill 2, the controversial 2018 bill that limited duration of medical benefits and restricted which types of doctors can diagnose black lung disease.
