The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division proposed rules to update its medical fee schedule that would increase payments for medical arbiters and physician reviewers, and allow interpreters to bill for missed appointments under certain circumstances.
The division said in a rulemaking notice that the proposed adjustments for arbiters and physician reviewers would increase payments by about 5%, or $63,000 per year. The change is projected to increase total medical costs by about .02%, the division said.
