Bill to Deny Comp to Workers Injured During Felony Passes House

The Illinois House unanimously passed a bill Wednesday to prevent payment of workers' compensation benefits to any person whose injury happened while engaged in a felony such as aggravated DUI or reckless homicide, the Belleville News-Democrat reported Thursday.The legislation now goes to Gov. Pat Quinn.Senate Bill 1147 was authored by Sens. Bill Haine, D-Alton, and Kyle McCarter, R-Lebanon.
