The California Division of Workers’ Compensation said in a statement that it is close to finalizing updates to the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule and intends to begin the formal rulemaking process by the end of the year and hold a public hearing in early 2020.
The division said it developed draft amendments using a comprehensive review by academic stakeholders as well as comp system users. After soliciting feedback from the industry on amendments proposed in May 2018, the division revised its proposal in August.
