The Kentucky Workers' Claims commissioner is reminding insurance carriers and their attorneys that settlements should be paid within three weeks of approval by an administrative law judge.
“While most defense attorneys and carriers work to promptly effectuate settlement, it is perhaps a good time to remind all parties of the requirements” of the law, Commissioner Robert Swisher said in an emailed notice.
