Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf is asking lawmakers to transfer $145 million from the Workers' Compensation Security Fund to be used as grants to small businesses hit by the pandemic recession.
“The legislature has the authority to establish grant agreements for purposes it deems appropriate, in this case, to support businesses adversely affected by the pandemic,” reads a news release from the governor's office.
