Bill to Increase Maximum Fine on Non-Reporting Employers Passes Senate

A bill to increase the maximum fine to $500 on employers who fail to report work injuries has passed in the Maryland Senate. Senate Bill 867, introduced by Sen. Katherine Klausmeier, D-Baltimore County, passed the chamber 47-0 last week. The maximum fine is currently $50.
