Navigators and Protective Announce Underwriting Deal

The Navigators Group announced Thursday that it has entered into an underwriting partnership with Protective Insurance to offer workers’ compensation coverage to its policyholders.

Navigators, based in Stamford, Connecticut, said the partnership supports its “strategic expansion” to multi-line insurance polices that bundle coverages for a broad range of liability exposures. Navigator sells policies to the media, arts and entertainment, life sciences, health care, technology and manufacturing industries.

“The addition of workers’ compensation insurance further enhances the customized solutions we deliver via our multiline products, which remove the complexity of placing and structuring multiple lines of insurance with various carriers,” stated Vincent C. Tizzio, president of U.S. insurance.

Protective, based in Carmel, Indiana, provides liability and workers’ compensation coverage, specializing in the trucking industry.
