Court Upholds Unscheduled PPD Award to Worker with Ruptured Knee Tendon

The Iowa Court of Appeals upheld an unscheduled award of permanent partial disability benefits to a worker who ruptured his quadriceps tendon. Case: Masterbrand Cabinets v. Simons, No. 20-1635, 09/22/2021, published. Facts: Chad Simons suffered a ruptured right quadriceps tendon in November 2015 while working for Masterbrand Cabinets, which did business as Omega Cabinetry.
