Intoxication Bill Clears 1st House Committee, Heads to 2nd

House Bill 238, the fourth incarnation of a bill that would reduce benefits for workers who were intoxicated at the time of their injuries, has passed the Judiciary Committee. The bill passed the committee Feb. 2 on a vote of 9-4, with all four "no" votes coming from Democrats. Two Democrats on the committee voted in favor of the bill.
