The California Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that permanent rules allowing electronic service of medical-legal reports went into effect earlier this week.
The DWC on Wednesday said permanent changes to California Code of Regulations Section 36.7 took effect on Tuesday.
The rule allows qualified medical evaluators to serve medical-legal reports electronically. Currently, providers are required to serve the reports by mail.
