The South Carolina Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered that a Lake City attorney be suspended for abandoning three of his clients, including a workers’ compensation claimant.
James Darrell Dotson entered into an agreement with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel admitting his misconduct and consenting to the imposition of a definite suspension of not more than one year.
The court applied the suspension retroactively to Oct. 13, 2016, the date of his interim suspension.
