Medata Names Jonathan Nutt Chief Technology Officer

Medical cost-containment technology firm Medata on Monday named Jonathan Nutt as its chief technology officer.

As CTO, Nutt will design and implement product enhancements and develop new solutions for the company’s clients.

Nutt used Medata’s products in his most recent position as head of medical management services for the American International Group. Nutt was with AIG since 1995, holding executive posts in finance and operations as well as medical management, Medata said.

Chief Operating Officer Sandy Blunt will continue to design and implement business strategies, set performance and growth goals, and oversee the company’s daily operations.

Medata is a privately held company based in Irvine, California, providing cost containment and document management software and solutions for insurance carriers, self-insured companies, third-party administrators, state funds and public entities in the workers’ compensation and auto liability industries.
