A majority of the more than 5,000 independent medical-review cases Maximus Federal Services records show have been missing records for at least 90 days have already been closed, according to the Division of Workers' Compensation.
A spreadsheet Maximus accidentally sent to WorkCompCentral last week indicated 6,743 IMR cases were missing medical records past the 15-day timeframe for the claims administrator to submit them. As of March 9, Maximus has not received medical records for at least 90 days on 5,021 of those cases.
