Orthopedic Company Settles Over Alleged False Billing

Olsen Orthopedics, an Oklahoma City orthopedic company, has agreed to pay $455,000 to settle civil allegations that it submitted false claims to Medicare and Tricare, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced. In reaching the settlement, Olsen Orthopedics did not admit liability, and the government did not concede that its claims lack merit. The Attorney’s Office alleged that from December 2011 to May 2016, Olsen Orthopedics administered by injection Orthovisc and Euflexxa to Medicare and Tricare beneficiaries.
