The Court of Appeal for the 1st Circuit of Louisiana last week overturned a trial judge’s injunction that permanently barred the state from enforcing all of the medical treatment schedule authorization and dispute resolution procedures adopted by the Office of Workers' Compensation Administration more than seven years ago.
Louisiana’s Legislature directed the OWC to adopt a medical treatment schedule in 2009, and it took two years for the agency to get the job done.
