The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry has issued a reminder bulleting regarding an employee's choice of Qualified Rehabilitation Consultants when there is a transfer, clarifying procedures. The following is a reproduction of that bulletin:
When an assigned QRC withdraws from a case, regardless of reason, the injured worker is entitled to choose a new QRC as per Minnesota Rules 5220.1710 Subp. 5. This applies to transfers within a rehabilitation firm or to another rehabilitation firm. This also applies to a QRC supervisor who assigns his or her case to an intern.
