The Tennessee Advisory Council on Workers' Compensation has survived another year despite earlier concerns from some lawmakers that it had overstepped its mandate and did not have enough input from conservative legislators.
The state House of Representatives today unanimously approved Senate Bill 1649, which authorizes the council for one more year. The Senate passed the bill on Thursday by a vote of 30-0.
