Pinpoint Towers Faces $21,000 Fed OSHA Fine After Worker Death

Optica Network Technologies, which operates as Pinpoint Towers LLC, faces $21,000 in penalties proposed by the U.S.  Occupational Safety and Health Administration after a worker died from a Nov. 23 fall from a Wichita communications tower.The 25-year-old maintenance worker fell about 50 feet while descending the tower. He is one of 13 workers fatally injured at communication work sites in 2013, OSHA said in a press release. Most of those deaths resulted from falls.
