Webinar to Cover Medicare Mandatory Reporting Requirements

Tower MSA Partners is hosting a webinar July 22 to discuss Medicare’s mandatory reporting penalty. Carriers face a fine of up to $1,000 per day, per claim for not reporting information about Medicare beneficiaries. Penalties have never been imposed because the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services was required to formalize regulations prior to issuing them, Tower said. In February, CMS released proposed rules, and final regulations are pending.
