Carlyle Group to Acquire MedRisk

The Carlyle Group has agreed to acquire a majority stake in MedRisk, a provider of physical medicine solutions to the workers’ compensation industry. Current investor TA Associates will exit as part of the transaction, Carlyle said in a news release. MedRisk founder Shelley Boyce, along with Chief Executive Officer Mike Ryan and other MedRisk managers, will retain a minority equity stake.
