Electrocuted Worker's Death Could Have Been Avoided, OSHA Says

A worker who was electrocuted last November could have avoided death if his employer had given him adequate personal protection, according to a release from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.   OSHA has proposed $106,400 in fines against the company, Ferro Magnetics Corp.  The Bridgeton, Missouri, company was cited for one willful and 14 serious safety violations after OSHA inspectors had found multiple electrical safety hazards and machines without safety guards.
