Woman Sentenced to Probation after Lying about Supervisor Assaulting her

A Georgia woman who filed a workers' compensation claim after telling police that her supervisor had assaulted her was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay $1,850 in restitution, the State Board of Workers' Compensation said Monday. Jan Smith, 48, was arrested and charged with workers' compensation fraud in February 2014.
