The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations proposed clarifying revisions to regulations covering the Board for the Administration of the Subsequent Injury Account for Self-Insured Employers.
The proposed rules would clarify that the fund has the option of paying benefits through either a lump sum settlement or by purchasing an annuity for an injured worker.
The proposed changes would also revise rules governing the process for the board to serve notice of claims on employers, as well as what constitutes a complete application for payment of benefits from the program.
