The Office of the Inspector General for the City of Baltimore on Wednesday released a report describing an investigation into the theft of more than $8,000 in workers’ compensation benefit checks.
According to the report, the city’s law department on Jan. 6 reported three workers’ compensation checks that were never received by the claimant and were deposited into an unknown person’s bank account.
