The Washington Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals is moving toward electronic filing, banning weapons at its facilities and allowing judges to conduct conferences by phone.
The directives come from a set of rules that go into effect in early January.
The weapons ban applies to everyone who enters a board facility except security guards, police officers and board employees who have obtained written permission. Those who regularly carry weapons must leave them in their cars.
