New York Attorney General Letitia James on Tuesday announced a $1.4 million settlement with a construction firm that was accused of repeatedly violating the state's workers' compensation laws.
For nearly a decade, Alba Services Inc. silenced injured workers, manipulated insurance costs and disregarded a culture of harassment at its worksites, James said in a statement.
