New York lawmakers are considering legislation that would allow occupational therapy assistants and physical therapy assistants to treat injured workers.
A 3753, by Assemblyman Kenneth Zebrowski, D-New City, and identical companion measure S 3969, by Sen. Tim Kennedy, D-Buffalo, would allow assistants to provide treatment under the supervision of an authorized occupational therapist or authorized physical therapist.
