The South Dakota Division of Insurance approved a 3.2% annual rate decrease for the voluntary market recommended by the National Council on Compensation Insurance rate filing. The assigned risk rate will increase by 0.3%. The new rates will take effect on July 1, 2013.The department noted that the percentages are overall averages, and that the amount for any given classification code could vary from those percentages by as much as 15%.
