DWC Posts Adjustments to Pathology, Laboratory Section of Fee Schedule

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation posted an order adjusting the pathology and clinical laboratory section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule to incorporate relevant changes in Medicare’s payment system. The order adopts the Medicare April 2023 second quarter update to the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule, the division said.  The DWC also ordered continued use of prices for specific COVID-19 testing codes based on 120% of the rate established by the California Medicare administrative contractor.
