Legislation designed to revamp Oklahoma's workers' compensation statutes passed the state Senate last week, but not until the bill doubled in size over the House version.
The latest version of HB 2367 as amended in the Senate now includes sections that would move part of the workers' compensation court from the judicial to the executive branch, and place it more under the control of the state Workers' Compensation Commission. It would also create magistrates to handle pre-2014 claims, instead of the Court of Existing Claims.
