Bill to Close 'Hole in Grand Bargain' Heads to Governor's Desk

The Wisconsin Legislature has sent to the governor a bill that seeks to firm up a statute that the Court of Appeals interpreted as allowing injured workers to file civil suits against the client-employers of staffing firms. The state Senate on Thursday dispatched Senate Bill 781 to Gov. Scott Walker’s desk after it was approved by both the Senate and the Assembly in unanimous votes.
