The Florida legislative session ended this week without action on a number of workers' compensation bills: Compensation claims judges once again did not receive a long-sought pay raise, and business groups for the third straight year were left without a cap on claimants' attorneys' fees.
One bill that did pass doesn't even mention the words “workers' compensation,” but some have said it could have a far-reaching impact on the cost and quality of medical care for injured workers by allowing out-of-state doctors to examine Florida patients via video link.
