The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation wasted little time drafting new rules to implement Senate Bill 935, which now forbids insurers from relying on the state workers' compensation fee schedules when paying military hospital bills.
The DWC last week unveiled an informal draft of the proposed rules, which also map out a billing dispute resolution process that's similar to that for other types of medical fee disputes.
