The Oregon Department of Justice said Brenda Rocklin has to pay her own costs to defend against a lawsuit alleging she improperly influenced the SAIF Corp. Board of Directors to fire her successor as chief executive officer.
The board fired John Plotkin on May 9, about three months after he took the helm at the state-chartered carrier, for allegedly using inappropriate and offensive language in the workplace. Plotkin filed a civil complaint seeking $2 million for unlawful termination against his former employer and two executives, five members of the board and Rocklin.
