Two of the nation’s largest providers of occupational health services are cautiously evaluating telemedicine but aren’t yet charging ahead with treating injured workers remotely, company executives said during a panel discussion that was broadcast on the internet last week.
Concentra expects to begin pilot programs of telemedicine services early next year, said Keith Newton, the company’s president and chief executive officer. But for now, it's closely studying what might be the best models and technology for telemedicine, he said.
